Emily is FD with a major London based housing association with responsibility for finance and technology. There are approximately 100 in her teams with four direct reports, plus she is of course an Executive Director as part of the top leadership team with corporate responsibilities across the organisation. There is a strong reporting interface between Emily and the Board on all financial and technology matters.
MEET
Our coaching relationship with Emily began in 2012 when she was FD of a smaller Housing Association where Maier’s initial involvement was working closely with the CEO and all her Directors. Coaching took place on both a team and individual coaching basis, focussing on strengthening team dynamics and providing greater clarity of individual roles and contributions. The relationship with Emily grew to the extent that when she moved into her new setup and role she asked Maier to continue to work with her.

Our work together over the years has encompassed both personal leadership development and organisational challenges around change and growth. The behavioural focus has included; self confidence, performance management, inspiring teams, personal impact and influencing across all levels. The business based focus includes; building and communicating intent and delivery of strategies, management of change, collaborative working.

Over five years of working with Emily, not only have Maier coached her regularly on a confidential one to one basis but there have also been programmes of Exec team development (in both organisations Emily has worked in) in which Emily has played a key role.
More recently we have worked with Emily and her team in developing a more robust set of shared ambitions backed by HOT ways of operating. This has included radical and inventive ways of working with staff across teams to aid collaborative working and dynamic inter team relationships.
