Newly launched is our ‘Think Big Picture’ 1 day development workshop. Suitable for large groups looking for ‘something more creative and useful than a simple teambuilding away day’, this fantastic workshop is both rich with learning to take back into the business, as well as high energy fun.
Thinking big picture
February saw the workshop being held in London, with over 100 delegates from a leading high street brand. The concept really hit the mark with this group who were all managers from the brand's merchandising team.
The ‘Think Big Picture’ day was created in response to the brief to design a creative MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) programme that;
- raised self awareness of behaviours and communication styles
- raised group awareness of the implications of differences
- enabled the team to understand the impact that the differing styles have on the business
- helped individuals understand how their own contribution fits in with the organisation's strategy
- improved team-working as a result
- achieved all of the above in 1 day!

The morning session focused on the concept of MBTI and helped individuals arrive at their ‘best fit’ type in creative and memorable ways.
- The afternoon session then consolidated this with small teams copying a piece of artwork, critiquing other groups’ work, then working as an entire team to piece together ‘the big picture’.
With energy levels high, there were plenty of opportunities to demonstrate how the different MBTI type traits (and combinations of types in departments!), played out during the exercise and crucially how this reflected what happens in day-to-day business – moreover how to better work together, accommodating and maximising on their differences.
With a Maier team of three facilitators leading the programme, the support of five of the company’s own in-house facilitators not only ensured that there was plenty of opportunity for individual feedback throughout the day, but also made it a very cost effective investment.
